As the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 registration is coming to an end on 27 November 2023, candidates who have already registered for this 18th edition of the CTET Jan 2024 exam have started their preparation for the CTET January exam 2024. CBSE has also released the CTET Information Bulletin 2024 PDF for all candidates who registered for the CTET Jan 2024 Exam.
As per the official timetable, the 18th edition of the CTET 2024 exam is scheduled for all the registered candidates on January 21, 2023. The CBSE Education Board (CTET Exam Conducting Authority) has announced the extension of the last date of application for the upcoming CTET January 2024 examination. Interested candidates who have not applied yet can now submit their CTET Online application form through the official Central Teacher Eligibility Test website at ctet.nic.in till 27th November. Earlier candidates could file CTET form only till 23rd November 2023 but the board has further extended it till 27th November 2023.

CTET Exam Structure 2024
All questions in the CTET Jan 2024 Examination will be in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, where you will have four options, and you have to choose the most appropriate answer. Each question is worth one mark, and there is no penalty for wrong answers. There are two papers (Paper I & Paper II) in the CTET exam.
- Paper I of the CTET Examination will be for the candidate who wants to become a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper II of the CTET Examination will be for the candidate who wants to become a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
- Candidates who want to become a teacher for both levels (Class I to V and Class VI to VIII) have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

CTET Qualifying Marks
As per NCTE official notification, a candidate who scores 60% or more marks in the CTET exam will be considered a CTET pass. CTET qualifying certificate available in DigiLocker is valid for lifetime for all categories. There is no limit on the number of attempts in the CTET exam to obtain a CTET certificate. If someone has cleared CTET, he/she can also appear for the exam again to improve his/her score.
