CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 for Class 10 and 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the datasheet of the CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 for classes 10 and 12 students. This compartment exam will be conducted for those aspirants who did not pass their class 10th or 12th examination in one or two subjects. CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has a provision of three chances to pass the compartment exam. Aspirants who do not pass the compartment exam after three attempts are considered unsuccessful (or failed). CBSE compartment board exam is open for both private and regular students.

The compartment exam will be administered using the cbse board exam syllabus. Aspirants of Class 10 and 12 who applied for 6 or more subjects but were unable to pass any of the first 5 subjects, with the exception of language, declared pass by substituting the sixth (6th) subject from the failed subject are also permitted in CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 to enhance performance in the failed subject.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 Overview

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the class 10 and 12 results for the board exam 2023. The CBSE compartment exam is the second chance for aspirants who are not able to clear the board exam on the first attempt. Compartment exams for class 12 in 2023 will start on 17 July 2023. These compartment exams are taken by the aspirants who have failed in any one of the five main subjects in the CBSE board exam.

The supplementary exam for class 10 students will begin on 17 July and end on July 22, 2023. The CBSE supplementary exam for Class 12 students will be conducted on 17 July 2023. The examination for both the 10th and 12th classes will start at 10.30 am on all days and end at 1.30 pm.

How to Apply for CBSE Compartment Form 2023?

• Students have to visit the official main website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
• Once you reach the main page of the official CBSE website, go to the homepage of the primary website.
• In the latest news stream, you will find a notice for the Compartment Exam Application Form Process 2023 right side of this homepage page.
• Read the notice till the end for complete details about the CBSE Compartment Exam 2023 Date, Compartment Application Form Date 2023, Fee of Compartment Application, etc.
• Then click on the link ” Apply Online” button given on that page.
• Enter required credentials like roll number, school code, name, mobile number, date of birth, etc.
• Complete the form and Pay the Compartment Application Fee through Debit/Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking, etc.
• After paying the application fee, then take a printout for future use.

Rules and Eligibility Criteria for CBSE 10th 12th Compartment Exams

• Aspirants who have failed in any one subject in their final CBSE board exam can apply for the compartment exam. CBSE supplementary material for the class 10th 12th compartment exam is the same as that studied for regular exams.
• An Aspirant placed in the compartmental category in the class 10th 12th board examination must reappear in the compartmental examination held on 17 July 2023. They will also get a second and third chance to clear the exam in the subsequent year.
• A student who does not appear or fails in one or all three occasions of compartment examination shall be deemed to have failed in the examination. They have to re-appear in all the subjects and qualify for the exam to get the class 10th and 12th certificates.
• Aspirants can appear in the practical test for subjects having a practical assessment. They can also retain their previous marks in another annual examination after the third chance for the compartment examination.
